Neat Digital Gardens
I'm wandering lots of other people's digital gardens to learn more about the format and spark ideas for my own. There are plenty of authoritative lists out there, but here are the ones I've bookmarked. ๐
| Garden | Why I bookmarked it |
|---|---|
| Kez.ie | - Whimsical colors, selected states & custom cursor are so cute :3 - Minimal navigation is interesting; no side nav - Garden subdomain / connectivity to professional site |
| Fediring.net | Less a digital garden than a webring(?) but oh wow, what fun to wander through the many unrelated sites linked there. |
| Carol.gg | Charming and original visual design - cream surface, bold text, pops of color, animated highlights for selected states. |
| EDAV | Columbia course materials on "exploratory data analysis and visualization." Nice and tidy, but bookmarking more for the interesting content. |
| teresawatts.com | Gorgeous, minimal design on a pink surface. I like the way she links to subtopics from a simple paragraph on the homepage. Posts are displayed in a traditional blog stream, filterable by topic. Illo in place of a photo adds personality. Love the squiggly dividers. Want to look at her Obsidian workflow when I have more time. |
| Elizabeth Tai | Unique structure and approach to index pages |
