Board Games for Exhausted People
I enjoy board games but am currently in the thick of raising little kids. These are the games my spouse and I can sometimes get to the table.
| Game | Notes |
|---|---|
| Orchard | Solo, gently puzzly, fast to set up and play. Small enough to take anywhere. My most-played game post kid 2. |
| A Gentle Rain | The most relaxing solo game you can imagine. Place tiles to enclose central circles, allowing a flower to bloom. Best played as recommended in the rules: with a mug of tea and some soft music. |
| River Valley Glassworks | Like a less-mean Azul with cute animals. Puzzly drafting game; quick playtime. Avoids analysis paralysis with limited choices and capped number of turns. |
| Sets | A new one for us. Small with fast setup. More challenging than it seems. โSetsโ of three must be all the same or all different for each parameter: shape, color, number, shading. |
| Spots | An easy, push-your-luck dice game. |
